Do we want Nick Clegg and his party anywhere near the centre of British politics?

He wishes to turn this country even more into a Islamic one, than it already is. This is just hours ­after he was exposed as saying British ­people have “a more insidious cross to bear than Germany over the ­Second World War”.

He will give amnesty to all illegal immigrants.

He is accused of having payments from Lib Dem donors paid directly into his personal bank account.

He has also admitted taking expenses for business-class air travel while actually flying economy as a member of the European Parliament.

It would appear he is not the squeaky clean individual he makes himself out to be.

None of them are,as if they are not paid enough to do the job, they have to steal money from the taxpayers.

The comments were made in a newspaper article by Mr Clegg in 2002 when he was a Euro MP. Written after two Germans working in a call centre in Swindon went to an industrial tribunal to protest about the abuse they suffered, it argued the British still laboured from "anti-German mania". He concluded: "All nations have a cross to bear, and none more so than Germany with its memories of Nazism. But the British cross is more insidious still. A misplaced sense of superiority, sustained by delusions of grandeur and a tenacious obsession with the last war, is much harder to shake off."


The amnesty is only for illegal immigrants and asylum seekers that have committed no crimes (other than being here presumably) and have been here for over 10 years.

I don't particularly like Clegg, and am terrified of a hung parliament, but lets not resort to exaggerating claims against him.

I love the fact AOG uses the word 'exposed' in relation to Clegg's comments - when they were in an article. That he wrote. In a national newspaper.

If they are illegals, first we don't know how many there are, and if they do come forward to claim their amnesty, how will we know they have not committed any crimes, and they have been here for over 10 years?

Regarding asylum seekers, could one be here for over 10 years and still not have been granted citizenship?

Well of course Clegg is no cleaner than the rest, he has his snout in the trough just as much as they all p*ss in the same pot.

Clegg of course if even posher than Cameron, went to a better school and his father is richer. He did claim his maximum allowance and he has been employed as a lobbyist.

He is, as any sane person realizes, a chancer.

is a very interesting point of view and worthy of discussion in an intelligent debate on Britain's post-war history and our efforts to adjust to a new, post-imperial world order.

Some people appear not to understand its meaning and take it to be somehow an attack on this country. Reading and understanding the english language can't be that difficult surely?

Should mosques broadcast their call to prayer? No. It's culturally alien to this country. If I'm in a muslim country I like to hear it - it adds to the exoticism and 'otherness' of the place. By the same token I don't want to hear it here any more than church bells in Tangier.

Legitimate immigrants should be welcomed into our society and encouraged to make their optimum contribution. Illegals should be rooted out and expelled.
