old school memories...
71 Answers
afternoon all,
what a glorious day,
cast your mind back alllll those years ago to your first days at school..
were they nice memories for you?
i have a few nice memories ..... i remember the messy paint palets and brushes standing in jars in the middle of the tables... the smell of the polished wooden floors in the corridors.... the little picture name tag we hung on our coat peg in the cloakroom where we hung our pump bags up... the sound of the bell being rang at play time ... enjoying the (luke warm) milk we were given in a little bottle to drink through a straw every morning with a biscuit ... and being read a story by the teacher before putting our chairs up on the table when it was home time and then grabbing our satchel and doing a runner out the school gates .....
awwwwww those were the days......

sorry joggerjayne, but i can remember primary with a glint in my eye, every day was a party for me, then the BIG SCHOOL, admittedly it wasnt hell every day, but i turned into a reserved, nervous, stuttering boy who then ina short time lost all his confidence. its hard to remember any good days, apart from?? i cant think of any. i remember the constant beatings, bullying, spitting, painful punches in the ribs. the non sympathetic, impatient teachers, who regarded you as stupid if you didnt get it.
sorry but you got me started.. i could go on..
