What good & bad have you exp with the police (something to do with motoring)

Got done for speeding a couple of years ago on the M1 in Yorkshire. I was on my way to a Newcastle - Sunderland derby match, and was late. Bang to rights, as I was doing 89mph at the time. However, there was very little traffic, and I was not posing any sort of threat to any other road user. £60 fine and three points.

On my way home several hours later, the same policeman was still there. Traffic police these days are little more than a revenue-generating system. Luckily, we have no other crime in this country, so this sort of activity is clearly the best use of of police resources...
