Who else is sick and tired of some of these ads?

However much Asda wants us to believe it, Sharon Osbourne will never be one of us.  Lulu cannot convince me to spend 2 on a tub of butter when she is stick thin and lives in a mansion.

I don't get back from work , kick of my shoes and have a good old dust with the latest new-fangled duster.  As for that flipping annoying song 'it's been a less than brilliant day' it drives me nuts.  What is it for anyway?

I've just realised to my horror that I missed Week 2 of Lulu's Cholesterol Challenge. I saw Weeks 1 & 3 but completely missed Week 2. Did anything exciting happen? Did she rescue a little crippled boy from a treacherous cliff ledge? Did she single-handedly defeat international terrorists who stormed the building? I need to know, in case it's never repeated or brought out on DVD.

The ones I hate are the Tesco ones, with the likes of Bruce Forsyth, David Jason and Terry Wogan talking about Tesco in the first person plural - "we", "our", "us". Well excuse me, but I don't recall seeing Brucie on the deli counter at my local branch, and I doubt Wogan's got a Saturday job on the Hand Baskets Only checkout either.

Little oldme I completely understand.  I was utterly transfixed by the life of Lulu.  No I'm afraid she did none of those things.  Cos Lulu's just like us, remember?  Ain't she just so down to earth with her cute flicky hair.  In fact what she probably did in week two was screeeeetch 'Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel you make me want to shout,'  I hate it when she sings it, I tell you what Lulu you  make me wanna bloody shout.

Actually I think it's just a lulu thing, it's not the ads. I'll get me coat.

The ad that really bugs me is Carol ******* Vorderman and her convert your unsecured debts into secured debts routine.  For a supposedly intelligent woman this is such smug commercialism it makes me sick.

Love the thread...

Sunflower you have made me smile ! Just the other day we were saying exactly the same about the ads.
