every time I try to edit my details and produce a picture it says my avatar is inactive how do I make it active

There should be a tick box to activate it.

There should be a little box next to that message which you tick, then go right down to the bottom of the page and tick Submit. If you can't see the activate box (and some people can't) then tick in the general area where you think it is - that is working for some people!
