10mg from her post Sqad.
I grudgingly went back on this (bad experience back when I was younger when put on a zombie dose when I wasn't coping well after something) after it kept being recommended to me by, initially, my meniere's specialist then later my rhumatologist and gastro specialist for chronic pain relief.
I was assured the dosage is very different, only 10mg initially.
I have to say, it does help with that and I slept a lot better and as an aside it really cleared up my migraines and restless legs at night.
I had one incident when my GP apparantly pressed the wrong button and prescribed me 50mg which wasn't picked up on until I ended up back in the surgery a complete mess.
I went back on 10mg then they put it up to 25mg and it really did some unpleasant things to me so I came off them and haven't been back on them since.
I have been more headachey again and the restless legs are back with a vengeance so am considering going back on the 10mg a day and seeing how it goes.
I have always had very vivid dreams so couldn't say if it made a difference to those but the trade off to the much improved sleep was feeling a lot sleepier in general, something I've noticed a lot more since I stopped them.
I do feel that it makes me very on edge though and a bit paranoid etc... so if I do go back on it I would be very very careful with the dose. The way I see it, if there are other ways of helping then my sanity is more important.
People react differently to different drugs though so give them a go and keep an open and honest communication with your GP and see how it goes.
