I have been on my local council website as the daughter told me to apply for some pensioners' taxi vouchers. She reckons that as I don't claim for a bus pass I can get x amount of vouchers to be used with nominated taxi companies.
Has anyone else heard of this as I can't find anything and I don't want to seem a prat if I ring up and there's no such thing.

p!ss off fluff wanting me to look more stupid than usual......
I've searched on their website and nothing there.......just goes on about bus passes.
I refuse to catch a bus as I always get care in the community people come and sit next to me.
isnt it only for those who are unable to use the busses?
I think it's different in different areas, our local authority have stopped doing it because of budget cuts.
Not sure about your local authority but here they have travel tokens (silver coins with a numerical value on them) They can be used for all public transport including taxis.
