Do you agree it should still be in place for senior school?

Absolutely, imagine the comeptitiveness, jealousy, theft, bullying and misery it would cause to have to wear none uniform? And that's just the parents!
Yes I do agree, it means the children represent the school. The children can't be bullied for what they are wearing also.
Yes I do, with shirts tucked in, ties fastened, blazers worn. My daughter paid a small fortune for my grandaughters blazer (with badge) and she hardly wears it.
Hi poodicat, Yes, I think uniforms should be worn at school and also I wish we had a uniform policy at work too, all that having to think about what to wear when I'm half asleep isn't great.:(
I dont know many secondary schools (if any) in birmingham that have a casual dress approach to uniform. Uniform is not only smart, it stops kids being picked on for not wearing the big brand names and easily identifies the school to outsiders.
Yep, they should. They represent the school, and I believe it should be strictly adhered to as well.

I appreciate my work uniform- like Haysi said, it'd drive me bonkers having to figure out what im going to wear each day I'm in there.
Diversing away from the school uniform ... does everyone that has to wear a uniform for work realise that you can claim a tax rebate for laundering a uniform that is supplied by your employer.
If your uniform has a company logo on it ... and your employer does not supply laundry facilities or pay you an allowance for cleaning it ... you can apply for a tax rebate. It's only about £60 a year....''not worth bothering I hear you say''

But the claim can be back dated for 7 years ... I got mine two weeks ago .... £430
