Re Dell xps m1530.
Every time I go to either turn off, hibernate or sleep my pc, it does not do this until, on average, the third attempt. The disc drive starts up, then the laptop gets very hot as it is is doing something instead of 'sleeping etc.'.
After this, all saved log-ins etc. are lost. How can i rectify this?
Thanks in advance.

When this happens again press ctrl/alt/del at the same time to show the task manager. Then select the Processes tab and sort by both Mem Usage and CPU. See what process is taking up resources. Sorry off to bed so this is all I can suggest!
