Funny thing is when I asked her who she liked out of the politicians she met her three favourites were Norman Tebbitt, Alan Clarke and John Major all three of whom she said were lovely men polite and helpful. Funnily enough my late MIL was a member of the labour party in Finchley but had met Mrs T a few times at local events and said she was really pleasant too.....My ex husband liked Michael portillo but then his only demonstration of good taste was marrying me....

You won't increase the IHT threshold ... so fcuk off and die (or whatever).
To a LibDem ...
You won't increase the IHT threshold enough ... so fcuk off and die (or whatever).
To a Tory ...
If you promise, absolutely, unequaivacally, truly, definitely, positively, cross your heart, that you really, really, really are going to increase the IHT threshold to £1m, like you've said, then come in for a cup of tea. If not, then, fcuk off and die (etc)
