I suggest you contact PayPal via their "contact us" facility. I've not had this problem as the account I use for PayPal as only in my name,but there are dozens of people with joint accounts - in fact quite often I sell to someone then the payment comes in in what is obviously their partner/spouse's name at the same address. I would not think it matters too much (we set up a direct debit the other day and OH put his name alone on the form whereas it is a joint account - it was accepted). Worth checking though, you don't want to get it wrong at this early stage.
