It's sort of like an unorthodox book club where people leave their (already finished) books on a discreet place in a public area, posting the location on the internet, for someone else to pick up?

Sounds a bit like bookcrossing.

A bit? I think it is....Cheers

I used to Book-Crossing but then realised it was better to donate those books to the Oxfam shop.
I think its a lovely idea, but perhaps not sensible to abandon items in public places at the moment?
maybe just very thin books, not 'A suitable boy' type whoppers...  I love the idea of book-crossing but can't bear to give books up, even if I know I'll never read them again.  Wah!
Isn't this a great idea? I would love to find one of these books and would definately pass it on, in fact gonna try it with one of mine (if I can bear to give one away) Are you gonna do it dave_c?
