Wart
12 Answers
I have a wart on my finger and even though I used Wartner that I got from the Chemist, 10 days later it has not gone.
Should I go to the doctor's about it or does anyone else have any other suggestions to get rid of it?
Thanks

Warts are horrific and persistant; only by apparent sheer luck are you going to get the little feckers off you and away for good. I have had them for YEARS and I've tried everything under the sun, from liquid nitrogen directly to the skin (DOCTORS nitrogen, not your counter Wartner), to Wartner, raw potatos buried under a full moon and duct tape.
Econasia is another natural remedy used, but it is NOT intended for those under 18 and you have to stop taking it every 4 weeks for about a week. There is a childrens formula which cured my sibling but not me.
Holland and Barrett will try and get you to buy a £4.99 thing that has pills that look like sweetners. This, again, was useless
What cured me? A product I got in a Dundee natural shop called 'Wart Oil'. I put that on my warts, left it for an hour and went about my day, reapplying whenever I had a few minutes to sit with oil on my hands. For when I didn't want to work with oily hands, or wanted to tackle a big tricky wart, I filled the gauze on a plaster with oil then applied directly onto the wart (if you just oil the wart then the gauze will absorb it, sort of defeating the purpose)
What you want to do is get a course nail file and file down the warts until they are fleshy (basically, filing off the dead califlower-like skin on top. BE CAREFUL! Do this over the skin to avoid getting the dust into cuts and spreading the virus! DO NOT LET OTHERS USE THAT FILE! GET RID OF IT AFTER EVERY USE. Once it is down to the tender skin and you can't file any more without breaking the skin and/or hurting yourself, apply the wart oil. This is what I did and I was cured of them after so many torturous years. Be aware that your warts may simply disappear once your body realises that there's a virus it needs to kill and it deals with it on its own. You must also be aware that they CAN come back
