We don't want to be rude to them, but they knock at the most inapropriate times and its starting to annoy us. Is there anything we can put on our door that'll stop them knocking, but won't get us in trouble with my deeply christian nan?

We were thinking of putting on something like a sticker mum got when she donated blood, but would that deter them, or just make them try harder to convert us?

Gran. I was gonna say landmines. Oh well.

Use a supersoaker full of AIDs infected blood instead
phew, that's a bit extreme for folk who don't do blood....
I normally find opening the bedroom window (above the front door) just using a curtain to protect modesty makes them think twice.

I'd have been laughing with them. How funny!! :o)
Love the bloodbank answer! Wot you up to on your b' day then! Wot time does the party start!
I would have a wad of prepared slips with a message of my choice to hand to them every time they call by - something like "The persistence of you and your colleagues is so annoying that I have gone to the trouble of printing this rejection of your message. Now please pass it around and stop bothering us". Simply hand it over saying, "Jehova's Witnesses ? Ah, this is for you" and close the door in their face. Oh, they don't call their establishment Churches (they are in fact not Christian, although they won't readily say that) but Kingdom Halls.
