I was talking to a stranger about nappy rash and she suggested mixing egg white and Vaseline to cure it. My girl doesn't have nappy rash so that's ok but what strange and wonderful cures have people passed on to you and have you tried them do they work?

my mum suggested the egg white thing and after i had finished looking at her like she was mad and actually tried it im amazed to say that it does work

My grandad used to swear by using olive oil for loads of things earache -  on cotton wool. Never tried it but it worked for him!

no they dont smell of egg lol you just dab on some egg white then put the nappy on, hey i was amazed too !!!

Its good for cooking to but not after its been used to de-wax your ears. People were telling my wife to rub olive oil on herself to prevent stretch marks but she stook to coco butter cream and she was fine

Egyptian ladies used a pessary made from a mixture of sour milk and crocodile dung to prevent pregnancy. I tell you what, i wouldn't fancy firking around in that mess just for a quickie, sorry Cleo!

Cabbage leaves in your bra are meant to stop the itching and soreness etc. associated with pregnancy!!

dear herathe I think  eating a brazilian with big nuts would work quite nicely
