Some Election good news - BNP trounced!
We have our first Green MP in Brighton, meanwhile Griffin though he had a chance in Barking but came third, and they lost seats on the Council. Margaret Hodge said:
// "On behalf of all the people in Britain we in Barking have not just beaten but we have smashed the attempt of extremist outsiders.
"The message of Barking to the BNP is clear, get out and stay out. You are not wanted here and your vile politics have no place in British democracy." //
The BNP have got more votes overall than 2005, but have fielded far more candidates.

Will the BNP now self distruct like previously?

They came THIRD in Barking???
I'm actually shocked. And by 'shocked' I mean, 'extremely pleased'. I thought they'd walk Barking.
This is indeed happy happy news which tempers the terrible, terrible news that with Cameron likely to be PM, I will for the first time, be older than the leader of the country.
