Anyone got any rough ideas how tall chilli plants grow? So I have an idea how big a plastic growing frame I need to buy / make ;-) Various varieties, Habanero, Scotch Bonnet & Jalapeño are the one's I'm looking at. As usual all answers gratefully received! TIA

Grew some standard variety in greenhouse last year ... ended up about 3ft tall, that's about it. Nice chillis, tho.
I think there are plenty of others that are taller growing, tho!
They tend to grow to the size of the pot you put them in, so use a smaller one if you want to keep them smallish. I put mine in the garden last year and they did very well, I then dug one up and put it in a pot and bought it in doors, I had chilli's till January, (at last an experiment that worked!)

Brill! Thanks' Guys, given me inspiration!!
Depends on the variety too. The Jalapeno is an Annum and the Scotch bonnet and Habanero are Chinense. The annums tend to grow tall and thin whilst the chinense more short and wide. Pot size does have an affect on limiting growth although pinching to tops off when they get to the maximum height is another method. Try to get them into 9 - 12" final pots for a better yeild.
