As in ... the thought of eating an aubergine makes me retch.

Does it rhyme with ... "sketch" and "fetch" ?

Or does it rhyme with ... "beach" and "peach" ?

Thank goodness.

I was with someone at lunchtime who kept mentioning that something had made her ...

... "reeech"

It was driving me nuts.
Yeah, retch as in fetch.

However - my mother used to say reach - perhaps it's the way the Queen would say it.

Just reach me that, dear .... bluughh...
Hi jj - I knew someone who named their countryside home 'Ponies Reach' but a friend complained that she always thought of horses being sick at their gate. Funny how some folk put a different interpretation on things innit?

When you've stepped in as many ponies on the beach as I have, you wouldn't include that word in the name, either !!
In the New Forest they are horses for courses - no pony intended!
Come on JJ, I'm sure you've had worse things in your mouth.
