Tar on Kitchen Lino

Help ...can anybody give me some advice how to remove scuff marks [tar] of kitchen lino.Grandchildren visited this am and left me with this mess..Thanks.

if its lumps, try putting an icecube on and freezing it hard then picking it off.

some supermarkets ands pound shops sell them singly. Use carefully they are amazingly efficient.

Thanks for your reply ,off to the shops on Monday.Its not in lumps woofgang just smears all over the floor.

WD40 removes tar if you have any about the house already.

Gosh Chuck I never knew that...if you use it on the floor make sure you clean it all off again if you don't want to go skating!!

Update......yes wd40 works, it's coming off [ thank goodness] going to give it a good wash now.Many thanks to you all.g

The quickest and cheapest way is a dampened soap-filled brillo pad. A lino fitter told me this years ago and it works for me.
