Do you like it when your partner gets drunk? Would you ever tell your partner how to behave? Are you a nagger? Now it really doesnt bother me when my partner gets drunk, I dont mind seeing him having fun. There is always at least 2 couples I know that will always get arguing at weddings because one has drunk too much and I always think 'just let them have a good time, they managed to look after themselves before they met you' Lastnight I went out and ended up going to the party my bloke was already at and as soon as I got in there people were coming up to me saying 'you might want to find him he's a bit drunk' And? When he did see me, he asked me to get him water as he knew himself he needed to stop drinking so I go him water and when I gave it to him some woman said 'oh you've been told' I told her 'actually he asked me to get it! he has got a brain of his own, I'm not his mother you know!! Really wound me up.

Oh no thats not good when they have atotally different personality. When you met him did you know he was like this?
I think it very much depends how people behave when they're drunk. I fully understand women who nag when their partner gets drunk if they know what's coming from experience. I was married to an alcoholic and he made my life hell, everyone else thought he was the life and soul of the party especially when he crashed out in the middle of the floor. I knew he was going to be mean, aggressive and dismissive to me so I hate to see those I care about drunk.
Jeezo 4get -cant do right for doing wrong.I usually say H and get slated for that-if I say husband I get slated for that so I thought since im treading on eggshells here i'll use what everyone else does and said OH and fcuk me you tore into me.

What am I supposed to say please?
Chrissa -I do feel for you -although mine isnt banned or anything like that. Its just with me he's a pain the rear !!
Hope he can see the difference its made to his life for all your sakes.
I don't think I've ever had a partner that used to get drunk......probably 'cos they had to carry me home :-(

Thats sound - I usually say what I want but the times on here you get picked up for simple things are unbelievable.Hence the reason I couldnt believe that you chose to pick me up on OH before anything else I posted which was relevant to the thread.
Doesn't bother me at all.

When I first met my BF, I was absolutely trolleyed, and I still get p!ssed more than him ... so I can hardly moan when he does.

Besides ... when you're trolleyed ... the sex is FAB !!

dris was just that lately id mentioned it, thats all
We've been married for 35 years this year and it's only for the past 5 or so years drink has affected him like this 4get.
I think he Can see the difference not drinking has made to all our lives. The sex might be fab Jogger but can you remember it in the morning??
Thanks for the kind thoughts.
I really cant be annoyed with drunk people much any more - I worked in a bar p/t for many years and got really ruffled around the boa with punters attitudes toward me. I dont care who chooses to drink, or how much, its just that i dont particularly like being around them and i have an alcoholic drink maybe once or twice a year......my choice!
Marty is a very very funny drunk. He just more witty and more loving and hugs everyone. Last time we went out he was hugging my ex...lol.

Then he tends to leave forgetting I'm with him and goes to his Mums....I usually get a taxi home and leave him at his Mums. She can listen to him snore...

I'm a weepy drunk as well.....only since my Dad died though.....I start feeling sorry for myself and put sad music on.
