voters sometimes take a dim view of going to the polls twice in short order and punish the party that called the election (one reason I think why Brown bottled out of calling one early)

I herd last time there was a coalition Government it lasted 18 months before another General Election had to be called. I personally don't think we are going to see much change for some time. The whole thing has been a bit of a damp squib for me.

The last minority govenment in 1974 held office for only 7 months before another election was called.

LIBOR rates are already going up, that's just at the thought of lib/lab! There will almost certainly be a further election before the end of the year.
I hope we do get a lib/lab pact because they will be the ones that have to put the necessary cuts into place in order to placate the international markets. Then, the conservative party will win decisively in the next election. Lets get the government backing business so that we can have secure jobs and therefore a good fund of tax paid in order to keep paying those benefits that are necessary for the needy rather than the professional sofa surfers.
