Having trouble at the moment with young rats coming into the garden. Have stopped feeding the birds, cleared up everything. We back looks onto a nature reserve with the beck (stream) running through.
Has anyone tried one of the ultrasonic rat repellants which I have seen on sale with any sucess, or have any ideas to help us. Thanks.

You may not want to do this but I have three cats - the only rats which come in are very dead.
My two Jack Russels work well, but I also have a stream at the bottom of the garden, and nothing I've found gets rid of them compleatly, so I carry on feeding the birds and live n let live!
Hi there!

I've got an ultrasonic repeller and have found it works really well. I was a bit sceptical at first as I'd heard mixed reviews, but eventually decided to try one because nothing else seemed to get rid of the mice in our house (and I refused to try those disgusting glue traps). After a couple of days, we were mouse free, yay!

So ,yeah, I definitely recommend them. I got mine at this site if you want to check it out as it was really good:

The one I have is indoor only, but I'm pretty sure I saw that they had ones suitable for outdoors too.
