my cat thinks it is a dog
My cat was brought up by dogs until he was 8 weeks old when my best friend gave him to me.
At the age of 4 he has just followed me to the local shop and sat outside whilst I did my shopping and then followed me home. I was torn between being amazed and killing myself laughing. Some of my neighbours looked at me like I was mad whistling a cat back home.
Cats eh?!!!!

It was weird - he didn't seem to understand 'dog' communication and obviously didn't see himself as a dog. To make it worse my mother treated him like just another kid in the family. He used to go along to the local school at break time to play with the children (1980s - when we were totally unaware of all the dangers in the world!) and all the kiddies knew his name.
I am only awake at this horrible hour due to a 'starving' cat. He has now been fed and has gone back to bed leaving his sister and I awake and unable to sleep.

One of my cats used to come for a walk with us when I used to walk my bichon around the park. He used to hide behind a bush and wait for us to walk on and then run to the next bush and try to jump out on the dog. Got caught out a couple of times though when he jumped out on the wrong dog and had to escape up a tree. It did amuse the other dog walkers though.
