Thinning Hair Viviscal and Minoxidil Sqad are you there ?

My sister is in her 60s and on 20mg Simvastatin daily. Her hair is becoming thin and I wonder if either of these products are safe to use with Simvastatin? Has anyone out there tried either of them ?

I`m using minoxidil at the moment as my hair is thinning around the crown area. It only works for about 20% of women but I do think there has been some effect. You know when you get older and the hair recedes at the temples? i have a small amount of thinning there and I put the lotion in that area because it would be easy to see the results. The hair is definitely growing back there. Trouble is you`re stuck using it forever because when you stop, it starts thinning again. I`d give it a go for about 3 months though

Sqad-am I right in thinking I should not use Minoxidil as I have high blood pressure and am on drugs to control it?

Are you saying that you are on other drugs to bring down your BP and you want to take Minoxidil for some other reason? If this is the case then you should not take them in combination without a good reason.

Hi Sqad. My hair is thinning and I was thinking of trying Minoxidil to remedy it. I am on treatment for high BP and noticed on a website that Minoxidil should not be used by those with raised blood pressure.
