Hi everyone, I have a dell inspiron with windows 7. When I go to a website that has an e mail link, when I click on it I get this message. "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed". Sorry to be thick but what does this mean and is there something I can do to fix it. Its a bit annoying as instead of just being able to send an e mail direct, I have to write down the e mail address and go back to Yahoo to send it. Not a big deal I know, just irritating. Thanks for any help.

mailto links won't work with webmail clients like yahoo, they will only work if you use email software like outlook, windows mail or thunderbird.

you will have to keep copying and pasting the address.

Thank you Chuck, as I said no big deal, just wondered if there was an easier way.
there is a way to set up your yahoo address to open in outlook so this would work, but I'm afraid i can't remember off hand how its done
