I know that 'All that glitters is not gold' is a common misquote: are there others we use all the time?

'money is the root of all evil' should be: 'love of money is the root of all evil'

'Alas poor Yorrick, I knew him well!' is the misquote from Macbeth, the line is 'I knew him Horatio!'

Also in Shakespere - 'Romeo Romeo wherefore art thou Romeo?' is misconstrued as Juliet asking Romeo's whereabouts, but in fact Juliet is asking WHY is he Romeo - why is the man she loves a member of the family with which her own family is at war? It's not location, it's frustration!
