While waiting for my dear brother to come home last night, I drank nearly half a bottle of some very VERY nice Irish whiskey - well, when he came home he went ballistic and told me it was a present, and then he told me how much it cost, I thought he was joking, but apparently not. I did have to really dig at the back of the cupboard to find it behind all the cocktail stuff but I thought it was just him being tight

Who'd of thought whiskey could be that much? I suppose I'm lucky it wasn't the one underneath at £1,200. If I buy him a new bottle, would it be too cheeky to ask for the half of one i left?

ask for the bottle, neck the other half and fill it up with wee wee. Sounds like he's more interested in it being an ornament!
if I found a bottle irish hidden away I doubt if there'd have been half a bottle left, but if I was buying a replacement I'd definately want what was left of the first bottle. I don't know why Irish Whiskeys aren't so popular in this country the best ones are every bit as good as Scotch

KOM, you really REALLY REALLY have the most enormous cheek. That whiskey was a present from Sony, and you had no business touching it in the first place - even I got it in the neck last night for leaving you on your own. Just hurry up with the replacement and be thankful that he's considering letting you back here!!
What whiskey was it?
