I recently booked some train tickets for a journey that will take me through London. Part of the journey tells me to take the Tube from one Train Station to another. Is the underground ticket fare included with my train ticket I've already bought or do I have buy a separate ticket for the underground once I'm in London?

i've booked tickets at the station and the ticket they have gave me could be used for th underground
If you have one train ticket for the complete journey, then yes the underground is included. It should work the underground gates.

There will be a maltese cross symbol on it.
Underground travel is automatically included when you purchase a rail ticket involving cross-London travel. As Dzug indicates, you can check by looking for the † symbol on your ticket.
