Any tips? I have tried vanish but no good. One shirt is almost unwearable as it looks like I've got big dark sweat marks under the arms, and it's only a couple of months old!

Try soaking the stains in white vinegar then put on a fairly hot wash.
I had this problem with my eldest son. I bought him a Mitchum antiperspirant/deodorant from Boots, and his clothes don't get the sweat marks on them any more.
Some of these deos are worse than others for that. If it's no trouble, it may be easier to switch brands rather than have this problem with all your clothes in the future.
I tried vinegar some success, Gin again some success but the best yet has been b&q concentrated window cleaner used neat rubbed in well rinsed out and then washed worked extraodinarily well!
