do you think the cup you drink out of makes a differance to the taste of your tea,i am using a nice china mug and i have been really enjoying my cups of tea ,BUT????
i have also changed my teabags too,to Scottish blend,my mother-in-law,always said to drink out of a china cup as tea tastes better.

Yes drinking out of a china cup or mug certainly tastes better.

It definitely makes a difference to the taste. But the new tea may also taste better than your old one. IIMO loose tea is much nicer than tea bags which always taste 'dusty' to me.

I always drink out of a bone china cup and saucer or mug. I get strong Red Label tea, no sugar, lovely. And soya milk. There is a coffee shop chain, I think it's Starbucks, where they give you a large coffee in great big thick mugs - ugh. I just can't drink coffee like that.

tonyted, i have a cafetiere and just can't seem to find nice, mild coffee beans to use in it, so I have instant. sorry ! Can you recommend some nice coffee ?

I'm drinking Thompsons Assam Tea from Morrisons and it's nice. Not sure how much difference a good China Cup makes to the taste but it may do.

I'm not sue if it affects the taste apart from psychologically but I can only drink tea from a fine china cup or mug.

Thanks tony, I've heard of Blue Mountain. I just don't like coffee that tastes bitter. I will treat myself !

has anyone tried take away tea? absolutely revolting, Im not sure if its the foam cup or the naff tea bags but it always tastes really rank

tbh cazz I never have tea out because it nevers come close to what it is at home. Don't drink coffee so opt for hot choc.

never ever get tempted prudie, its a waste of money! I thought the first bad one was a one off but no take away tea is really really putrid :0

generally I use bags at home and drink PG
