Warfarin after a Pacemaker

Have been told ' we will try to get you off warfarin after your pacemaker is in'. Does this happen very often?

Complicated question...BUT......if you
1) are over 65 years of age
2)No previous history of blood clots
3)Do not suffer from Hypertension (BP)
4)Do not have Diabetes.

Then you are regarded as low risk and the warfarin may well be withdrawn and replaced by Aspirin.

If this is not your case, then forget what I have written.

It is no to the four categories but one case of a TGA last September, so hoping the warfarin will be discontinued.
