What are tags?

what?

Also, does this help it come up when you type it in the Searchbar? My vid won't come up in the searchbar when I type it in...

I tried a look at one of my vids, only half the tags showed up, I think they were added by YouTube, how do "I" add tags?

Also, I typed the name of my video into the search bar, and it didn't come up.
Why not!?
