Eighties film about a dummy.

i'm trying to remember the name of a film from the eighties about a doll / dummy (not childs play).  i think the doll wore a monacle, and the plot might have also contained a clock.  sorry if this has been asked somewhere before.

i don't think so.  i also remember a young boy being in the plot.
