Why do some questions appear with a buff/yellow coloured background?. Is this something editorial; because the Ed's comments are shaded !! No offence meant Ed.

Those questions are 'sticky' - they will stay at the top of the page until the Ed unsticks them.
The ed decides on which questions are deemed worthy enough to be sticky.

Thanks hc....I now understand the reason for the the background shading of certain questions.

Often wondered what was meant by a 'sticky question'.

I've never had a sticky, but I did get 6 in the box once! It fulfilled all my wildest dreams...
