Hiya, I've just become the proud renter of an allotment and want to put some plastic fencing (the stuff on a roll) or chicken wire round it to mark my plot. I'm trying to get hold of some of those metal posts that are similar to a long steel spike with the top turned over on itself to make a loop. You often see then holding up things like barrier tape etc. My only problem is I don't know what they're called or where to buy them from. Can anyone help please... Thanks

I'm not sure what you're describing, but here in the U.S. simply go to any good farm supply store and ask for electric fencing posts. They're about 3/8 of an inch in diameter and about 3 to 4 feet in length. They have a wedge attached to the bottom end that you simply step on to place into the ground. The nice thing is you can simply "weave" them into the netting as you go along, eliminating tying them to the posts. I'd suggest about every 6 feet or so. They're inexpensive... about $1.25 U.S. here.
Best of luck!
