Immigration influx on our schools.

I was criticised recently in the post titled, 'A tale of two cities. this was in reference to concerns show over the ethnic mix of English classrooms.
The link below shows how serious the situation is and the implications attached to it.

Can any of you sceptics now still state that there is absolutely nothing to be concerned about?
Or perhaps to those that agree there is a problem, what is the solution?.

I imagine that's what the Express want's you to think.
If you read it more carefully you see that they have cherry picked Bradford - Which is one of the highest immigrant populations in the country.
Classic Junk journalism
Well done you fell for it

As much as the likes of the Express and the Mail will manipulate figures to show one extreme you will find the lefty denyers, such as Jake, will also manipulate to prove their point.
The truth probably lies somewhere inbetween, in that certain pockets of the UK do have a major problem others dont, so it is a problem to monitor carefully rather than have to take a knee jerk reaction ot

I know I'm awful
Fancy me manipulating the point to try to kid everybody into believing that Bradford is not typical of the entire country!
Certain parts of the country do have problems in this area but they are the exception not the rule.
Immigration brings benefits with it - notably to those of us who will still be around in 30 years time and will still need enough young people to take over the economy.
The type of immigration we need to be concerned about is the type of economic migration that comes here for a few years and sends all the money back home - this does nobody any good other than the businessmen who want a cheap work force.
We need to work on getting these people to settle here and invest in this country rather than seeing it as a place to make a quick buck

Yes but you continue to see no problem at all.
If it was ONLY Bradford maybe, but I bet you could say the same about London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Leicester etc etc etc.
You must live on the isle on man (or abroad) if you dont see there is a problem.
Or maybe you live on cloud cuckoo land.

I firmly believe that the education system should base its systems on the English language.
Children are immensely adaptable, and will pick up English quickly if it is spoken to them and around them all the time. This will increase integration, as non-speaking parents can at least have an interperetor in the house - free of charge.
My wife has just returned from inspecting schools in Abu Dhabi. There, English and science are delivered to five-year-olds - in English.
I believe that the use of teens of native languages in schools continues to marginalise and ghettoise children who would otherwisew fit in very well with their native English friends and neighbours.
In this instance 'equality' has swung too far, and is disadvantaging the very people who will build a future genuinely integrated society - children.
