Unpacking Resources - what does that mean?

I like playing Hidden Object games on my computer. Since yesterday I have had a small windom opening saying Unpacking Resources and its trying to down load something. What is it?

Unpacking resources could be anything.

Some files on your drive contain other files and stuff, which have been "compressed" to fit into a smaller file.

When the contained files are needed some application has the try to recreate those original files from the one on your disk.

It sounds as if something tried and failed if you have the window since yesterday. Try a reboot.
