I am in need of the Blues

I am a music lover but never really had anyone to educate me in the ways of the Blues. Black Snake Moan was on tv last (bad film) but the soundtrack was pretty damn good. After researching online alot of it was sung by Samuel L Jackson. Can anyone suggest to me some albums to check out that is this sort of style - it was quite upbeat (Alice Mae track especially). I already have a bit of Robert Johnson and Son house on my Spotify player but I would like to learn more.

I really enojyed the dirty guitar that seemed to be the main theme for anything Samuel sang on.

Key in Samuel L Jackson in to the main search bar and you will get information about him, plus a list of similar artists/music... follow a few of the suggestions and go from there...

Thanks Snags, I already use both Last FM and Spotify but always find the 'similar' artists often nothing like the one I orginally looked at.
