Land Rover Discovery

What are the different specs for the Discovery 1? I know ES is the top spec what are the other variations? I have looked online but cant really find much info.

thanks for your answers, i am looking to get the best spec Discovery i can with £4000. am hoping to get a 1998 onwards?

for 4 grand you should be able to get a discovery 300 series (disco2) or maybe even a cheap td5, diesels are good value, the petrol ones are heavy to run unless you get a gas conversion which are good

I have a 300 TDI, and have a lot of mates of varying models, (200 tdi, td5 etc) to be honest the 300 and 200 series are a lot more reliable than the td5's. the down side is the td5's are more economical and have better specs, fron rear facing 6 and 7 seat, kneeler suspention, hill declearation. For £4 grand you could pick yourself a nice spec truck, BUT PLEASE just donr buy the first one you see. Landys are riddled with thier own perks and need to be looked into. Do lots of research and ask abou ALL the history. You could end up buying some pig, or you could end up findin a gem. There are alot or good landys out there so shop around.
