My mate just returned from a week away with the girl he has lived for the last 4 years.
It was a her birthday while they were away ....

Anyway he goes a buys her what he thinks is a very nice ring for her birthday present.
Cost him £1K plus ....
He tells me he gave her the ring and she loved it ...but her attitude towards him was a little weird for a vfew days ...then he say's what's up ? ...she says well you have given me an engagement ring but not asked me the question ...eeerrrrrrr .....He say's it was not meant as an engagement ring ...

So I said to him what did the ring look like ...he says ..well it was too big for her finger and he took a guess on the size and a single diamond. I said ...well that's an engagement ring you idiot ...

So funny ....

It's hard being a bloke you know ...
If you were married to craft all you would need buy her would be a string Vest. :-D
My ex bought me an "engagement ring" (that was what was on the invoice) for my 20th birthday. By the time I was 31, he still hadn't popped the question so I took it to be a birthday ring. :-)

I wish I'd clarified matters earlier, then I could have got the necklace and earrings to match. lol

Why are women so keen on marriage ?
As a bloke , I would have been happy to have just lived together for the last 24 years ...
LOL NoMercy ! Better late than never eh....
red I think we have differing views on presents............
Having said that I must admit to having mixed up the anniversaries of my weddings more than once :-(
Redman... I even got the "honeymoon" in St. Lucia a month later, followed by 12 years of what felt like the average unhappy marriage....

He's a great bloke but he was a lousy boyfriend.
If I was buying a present for you craft it would be a good 'un. Ann Summers string Vest, no that wouldn't do ! :-))
I think us Men need memories like Computers in order to remember Birthdays, Anniversaries, Mothers Day, God the list goes on and on..........
my ex got me an engagement ring.. then it turned out he just thought it was time we got engaged. he wasn't bothered about getting married.

the diamond looks nice in the pendant though ;o)
I got engaged to my ex-wife on Valentines Day. She'd come over to my flat for a nice meal, we drunk a lot of wine, started getting busy then she told me it was 'that' time of the month. So instead of playing we talked and drunk more wine instead. After a few hours we were both steaming and i' run out of things to say so I asked her to marry me......7 months later we were married. 8 years on and we split.

And they say romance is dead!
