So now A2A is no more......?

I thought the ending was poignant and not too over the top but could not actually get to grips with the facts on how Alex Drake knew she had died at exactly 9:06 just by guessing that every clock she had seen was stuck at that time and had concluded this from such flimsy evidence. Also i thought she had revisited her present world (Series 3 Episode1) before finding herself being slapped in the face by Gene Hunt back in the 1983 nether world. Was this just a lucid dream?
I'm a huge fan of LoM and A2A and blog a few times about the story but i think everyone would like all the loose ends tied up tight.........Anyone help??

I think that she thought she had gone back, if you remember it was when Gene shot her so she was in a coma in the afterworld.
actually I rather like the fact that there is some imterpretation possible...makes it more like real life
