Loads of people, including most of my friends, will be setting their alarm clocks for the final instalment of Lost. The finale's being shown on TV here at the same time as in the US so 5am our time. I don't like a telly prog that much . I have however got out of bed VERY early to go and que up at a shop doorway for Oasis tickets so I suppose I do show devotion that way. What do you love so much that you wouldn't mind getting up at silly o clock for?!
Being of advanced years the only thing I get up in the small hours for these days is a pee. But I still remember getting up for TV coverage of the Moon Landing, and one or two World Heavyweight Boxing Title fights in the Sixties (Floyd Patterson v Ingemar Johannson for example - then along came Ali of course). Before that, when only a young lad, I once got up very early to go out with the crab fishing boats in the Norfolk village where I lived.
In the past I've got up at this time to go birdwatching, see an eclipse of the moon and I still do it to catch a holiday flight yes. I know several men who do it to watch a Grand Prix.
On Lost I've never watched it, can anyone give a potted version of the story? I know it started with a plane crash (I think?)
Where's that peri? Watched AlBags and if that's it what was the attraction to so many people?
Forrst Gump was clip was funny and clever although the film itself didn't blow me away particularly as much as it seemed to everybody else - except when he ran his calipers off.
