With a screen name like that, I presume you appreciate Lowrys' work. People say that the scenes he painted have all disappeared, but it's not quite true. Just round the corner from me are The Middleton Steps, one of the scenes he painted and is still there. One of the buildings in the painting was demolished only three years ago, but otherwise it's still the same!

I Went to Berwick on Tweed recently, and he painted several scenes there as well, Clarion.There is a Lowry route around the town.
