take me as you find me

I always believe when anyone calls they take me as they find me .I don't go to extremes to put a show on .But I have noticed when I go to some houses the person will say "oh you will have to excuse the mess I had to look after next doors little girl or I was late gettin back not had time to tidy up or don't look there I was called out and not had time to do it" and other excuses. Are you one of them? Or it it that you really haven't bothered to clear up and won't admit it?

I detest having people drop in without advance notice. All my friends and family are aware of this and are quite happy to ring me before coming round.

Agree with the 'ring first to check its ok' policy, as no one likes unexpected visitors who may catch you on the hop

I like people to ring me first just in case I was going out as I would not want to seem unsocialable if they called without ringing and then I have to say I have to go out soon.But they would have to take me as they find me I would not come up with any excuses that was the point of my question.
