James Bond meets Eastenders

Am I alone in thinking Nigel Harman will make an excellent James Bond?

I know that being Bond doesn't require huge acting ability, but you do need SOME.  Harman may well be handsome, but I've seen more believeable acting skills in my 23mnth old son.  Good grief.  This comment/question would be laughable if you were some dim girlie, but you are allegedly a man, and a Bond fan???? Sorry, I can't believe that,.  You just MUST be joking.

Linda the pinda I think it must be a boy thing. I grew up with Roger Moore as the lead and was in total awe of this relatively realistic superhero from a young age.

 

Regarding you other guys I am serious about this proposition. What has EON productions looked for in a Bond thus far?

 

1) Handsome darked haired male

2) British  (Yes I know PB is Irish and GL is not!!)

3) Has an edge i.e could kill in cold blood.

4) Physically fit

5) A womaniser

6) To follow the books has an insecurity and fear of any commitment.

7) Smokes (from the books)

8) Has a degree of smarme.

 

Therefore Harman would fit the bill very well. Yes, he is not the greatest actor in the world but one must remember Eastenders is seen by more people than any Hollywood blockbuster. So how bad can he be????

He in no way, shape or form has the credentials to fill Bond's shoes. He's a rubbish soap actor. Nuff said.

Good God No!!!  Every time I see him he reminds me of the guy who played "Angel" in the Buffy series - David Boreanz?  If you want someone called Harman to play Bond it would have to be Harmon Rabb Jnr from JAG (David James Elliott).  All Bond films are rubbish but even I would watch one to see his gorgeous smile,  and he has the right twinkle in his eye to play the part and not take it too seriously.
