I just went uptown to pay some cheques in at the bank and whilst in the queue in came Sue a lady who works as a secretary at my boyfriends workplace (scoop) she came in saw me and asked said 'you still looking' I assumed I'd told her about job situation when we were at a scoop wedding last week. I said 'yep still looking' I then said 'you got day off then' and she said 'no just came into town pay cheques in' stood there thinking of things to say in awkward silence and I said 'I see scoop are looking for a new joiner' she said 'Oh I wouldnt know' found that a bit strange seen as she works there. I then said 'well business must be getting better if they are taking more on at least I know Bill wont lose his job aswell' then I continued to say how Bill was very hung over the day after the wedding. Then my turn came with the cashier and I got there and thought 'Oh my god that wasnt even her!' It was actually the lady that had interviewed me last week. What a prat I am. She must be thinking 'thank god we didnt employ her she's a total loon. ha ha ha

Sitting here giggling 4get. Hope she doesn't spread warnings about you round the town.
Cant you retrain to be a joiner? :)

you are dozy, sis but we love ya!

reminds me of time dad stopped to chat to a guy he knew in town. They had a nice chat, asking after wife, kids, golf, etc etc. Wasnt until dad got home he realised he didnt know that chap at all, it was someone off a TV show lol
I did that Red, stopped and talked to someone outside the post office, asking how she was etc. and then realised it was Liza Goddard. She lived locally then!! She was very polite though.
My god, i'd have been so embarrassed lol

I wonder if she figured out I'd got her mixed up with someone else or she just thinks 'she's crazy' lol.
As you said, she's just relieved she hasn't got you working for her company. She is breathing a huge sigh of relief.
"Some names have been changed for legal reasons" - more likely to save MASSIVE embarrassment.

I am giggling away here though. Just the sort of dopey thing I would do!
