freesat, Sky and HD

At present I have a Sky+ system attached to a Panasonic HD (1080p) ready TV. NO built in freeview or other system in TV

Before adding Sky HD which will mean a new box and an extra cost a month - I want to look into the cost and suitability af changing the whole system to Freesat.

We are in a poor analogue reception area so will bypass freeview completely.

Can I use the existing dish? (assuming don't ask for it back!!)

Is it simple to run more than one freesat box from 1 dish (multi-room)?

Any guidelines on the likely cost of the freesat box(es)> Don't want the cheapest nor the most expensive

Not sure if you can have freesat from a sky dish, sky hd is very good though

Yes, you need a quad LNB (the bit on the end of the pole that sticks out the front of the dish) and obviously a second run of cable to the new box. If you get a freesat box with a built in recorder then you need two runs of cable for each box.

freesat boxes cost between about £70 for basic ones upto about £300 for a twin tuner one with a hard drive recorder built in.

The dish belongs to you, not Sky (assuming yiou have fulfilled the 1 year minimun contract),To run more than one Fressat box you will need a quad or higher LNB, the best box on the market at the moment in my opinion is the HUmax Foxsat HDR which will need 2 feeds to operate correctly, I paid £230, excellent HD quality and no more SKY bills which most important.
