I am taking a holiday in Japan soon. Does anyone know whether I might have to pay a local or airport tax  or both, when I arrive in Osaka?

Are taxes not usually included on your ticket.

Not always apparently. Some airports and countries charge a local government tax or airport fee on arrival or departure or both and I was wondering whether Japan was one of those countries and Osaka in particular.
Not too sure Emily.  I work on Airline Revenue and looked up taxes for Osaka's 2 airports and there were no taxes listed on arrival at either but not sure if that means on the ground as well.
There is no separate airport tax into or out of Osaka

Thank you for your replies folks.

At Tokyo's Narita Airport there is a "Passenger Service Facility Charge" which is included in the ticket price.  See here:
