Has anyone read Peter Kay's autobiography, The Sound of Laughter? Whereabouts in the book does he mention Gypsy Tart (school pudding)? Thanks

Hi Lardhelmet, do you remember if he mentioned Gypsy Tart? I read Frank Skinner's autobiography and Peter Kay's at the same time. And one of them said something like "Who on earth liked Gypsy Tart?" Then I read Jo Brand's autobiography and she said "I loved Gypsy Tart at school". I was just wondering if it was FS or PK cos I'd forgotten who, by the time I'd got to that bit in JB's.
I've got the book upstairs nota. I'm going up to bed now but I'll try & find it for you. Are you back on here tomorrow? If not I'll leave you an FAO message in Chatterbank

Thanks Lardhelmet, if you reply on this thread I'll definitely find it.
My computer is broken so I can only look on here when anyone is kind enough to let me have a go on theirs. I thought it was strange that two people mentioned Gypsy Tart, and I don't even know what it is.
I think it's treacle tart with breadcrumbs in it - well that's what it tasted like at school!
Question Author
Yum! Perhaps I've had it, but didn't know what it was called.
Thanks again

Thanks Marval. Sounds lovely.
I want to know if the reference to gypsy tart was in Peter Kay's or Frank Skinner's autobiography. And what, exactly it said. Thanks
By the way. . .I read your jokes and enjoy them, thanks. Why is it that Avatar says nasty comments, or is he/she just teasing?
