Beard - sign of miserable failure

The sports stars have nightmares, contrasting their super success with imaginary failure.

Wayne Rooney finds himself dossing in an old caravan.

And how do Nike symbolise his miserable failure?

Yes ... he has grown a beard.

So that's it ... the beard ... universal symbol of abysmal failure.

I say this in the confident belief that there are no beardy weirdies on AB.

Some years ago we had a sponsored beard grow, lasting a year, for some of the local charities ending with a grand shave off at the Mayday festivities at the local pub. I was well pleased to see the back of it as was the boss, still we made nearly five grand between us so that was OK. My middle sisters ex husband had a very bad car accident years ago and grew a beard to cover some facial scarring and as a result her five children the eldest being, 43 have never seen their father without a beard except in photos
